Acting Classes with The Greylight Theatre
The Greylight, with its 15 year history as an innovator in educational theatre, is initiating classes in the Pottstown/Phoenixville area beginning in October of 2009.
After many, many requests, we're finally going to begin offering classes again. Classes will be offered in core acting/scene study beginning October 2009.
All sessions will be taught by Dr. Don Elwell, playwright, actor and Artistic Director of the Greylght Theatre and Professional actor/teacher/playwright Jerry Perna (it should be noted that that's over 75 years of professional theatrical experience between the two of them)!
Don & Jerry offer a fun and useful acting technique system for both teens and adults who wish to persue acting as a career, gain self-confidence, or just have a great time! Working with scripts from the theatre and film, the course includes improvizational work, scene study on the breaking down of scripts and characters, and current information on audition technique and the area theatre and film scene, all in the effective, laid back, low stress environment for which Greylight has become famous.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays, beginning October 21st for 8 weeks (Oct. 21, 28, Nov. 4, 11, 18, Dec. 2, 9 & 16).
Young adult classes ( for 13 to 17-year olds) are $20 a session ($160.00) and are held on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 p.m.;
Classes for those 18 and older are $25 a session ($200), will be held Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
All classes will be at the Samauri Kids complex in Spring City, Midway between Phoenixville PA and Pottstown PA on 724, at 3807 Schuylkill Rd, Spring City, PA 19475-1529.
