FLAMENIA'S WEDDING:
Casting for our fall touring Commedia Del Arte show. Actors must be available during school hours for this one. The Commedia is a largely improvised form of Italian Renaissance Comedy, working from a scenario (a list of scenes) Actors must improvise and develop business and dialogue, working cooperatively. Experience with Improv and Renaissance theatre styles, along with a convivial, easy to get along with attitude a must. There is compensation.
Needed are:
FLAMENIA: F Ingenue, tough, smart young woman in a staid, male dominated world.
Bartoleno: M character, scheming, clever manservant to the family.
Rehearsals--rather few of them in keeping with the improv nature of the piece--will be in August with performances commencing in early September. This production may continue throughout the 2011-2012 school year.
